Eνετικό μουσείο στον Πύργο Della Rocca Barozzi. Della Rocca Barozzi Tower Venetian Museum of Naxos

O Πύργος Della Rocca Barozzi βρίσκεται στη πολύ χαρακτηριστική και εντυπωσιακή περιοχή του Κάστρου στη Χώρα της Νάξου. Ο πύργος στεγάζει το Ενετικό Μουσείο της Νάξου. Είναι ένας καλοδιατηρημένος πύργος που ανήκει στην οικογένεια Καραβία. Οι ιδιοκτήτες δίνουν ιδιαίτερη σημασία στο να διατηρήσουν αναλλοίωτη από το χρόνο την παλιά ατμόσφαιρα και αίγλη του κτιρίου.

The Della Rocca-Barozzi Tower is located inside the remarkable and impressive area of the Kastro in Hora of Naxos. The tower houses the Venetian Museum of Naxos. This is a well preserved tower belonging to the Karavias Family. The owners give particular importance in preserving the old atmosphere and glamour of the building unaltered by the passing of time.

Ο πύργος σήμερα έχει μετατραπεί σε ένα μοναδικό ενετικό μουσείο (με πολύ προσωπικό ύφος) που περιέχει, έπιπλα, τραπεζομάντιλα, χρηστικά αντικείμενα, κοσμήματα, βιβλία, ρούχα, όπλα, και πολλά άλλα αντικείμενα των προηγούμενων ετών, που αποτελούσαν το νοικοκυριό.

The tower today has been turned in to a unique museum (with a very personal style) which contains, furniture, table cloths, utilitarian objects, jewels, books, clothind, arms, and a lot of other objects of past years that constituted the household. 

Ο πύργος αποτελείται από τον κυρίως όροφο (σαλόνι, υπνοδωμάτια, τραπεζαρία, βιβλιοθήκη, παρεκκλήσι) και ένα κελάρι που χωρίζεται σε διαφορετικά επίπεδα.

The tower house is made up of the main floor (lounge, bedrooms, dining room, library, chapel) and a cellar articulated over several levels.

Όλα τα αντικείμενα που βρίσκονται εκεί έχουν τη δική τους διαχρονική διαδρομή και όλα μαζί συνθέτουν με μοναδικό τρόπο την Ιστορία όλης της περιοχής.

All of the collection of household articles found there have their own diachronic course and all together combine, in a unique way, the History of the greater Cycladic area.

Το μουσείο κάθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια του έτους – αλλά κυρίως κατά την καλοκαιρινή περίοδο – φιλοξενεί σημαντικές πολιτιστικές εκδηλώσεις, από κονσέρτα μέχρι τοπικά βιολιά, εικαστικές εκθέσεις ή λαογραφικά θεάματα, σε έναν ξεχωριστό χώρο που βρίσκεται στο κελάρι του πύργου, καθώς και στην πλαϊνή αυλή.

Through out the year – but especially during the summer season – the museum houses important cultural activities, such as classical music concerts, local and traditional violin concerts, art exhibitions or folkloric events, inside a very special area at the tower’s cellar, and also at the yard on the side of the tower, with spectacular view, overlooking the harbour and the open western sea.
