To νεφέλωμα είναι ολοστρόγγυλο σε τιρκουάζ απόχρωση με ένα άστρο να λάμπει στις παρυφές του.

Abell 33 was created when an aging star blew off its outer layers of gas, creating an almost perfect bubble. The bright foreground star, named HD 83535, is in just the right place to give this image the appearance of a diamond ring.
